THRACE, Philippopolis. Antoninus Pius. AD 138-161. Æ (31mm, 21.34 g, 6h). G. Gallonius Fronto, magistrate. Laureate bust left, wearing aegis / River-god Hebrus reclining left, holding cornucopia and reeds, leaning on overturned amphora from which water flows; prow of galley in background. Mouchmov, Philippopolis 50 var.; Varbanov –. VF, green patina, smoothing, light pitting.

On Mouchmov 50, Hebrus does not hold a cornucopia but rather places his right hand on the prow. Additionally, the ethnic is longer and is divided in two lines below Hebros.
